Customize the wire gauge, turn count, and coil connections for your project. Electrical figures are references at approximately 800 RPM and vary with the winding and load; they are not a fixed continuous output rating.

G1 Max is the larger follow-up to the original G1 generator, designed for makers who want to customize a generator around their own project. Its six bobbins can be wound with 16–21 AWG SNS magnet wire, with the turn count selected by the builder. Choose your wire gauge, turns, and coil connections to explore different voltage and current characteristics for your intended operating speed and load.
The materials list calls for an ABS printed structure, 24 N52 magnets sized 32 mm × 3 mm, and an 8 mm shaft measuring 300–400 mm long. The bearing arrangement includes two 608 bearings and one 6704-2RS center bearing. Fasteners include six M4 × 16 mm countersunk screws for the stator cover, plus eight #10-24 × 2.5-inch screws and matching nuts.
The reference figures at approximately 800 RPM are 7–14 VAC or higher on an open circuit and 1.2–3.7 A or higher, depending on the magnet wire and number of turns. These figures describe variation between builds, rather than one fixed output. Open-circuit voltage is measured without a load; the voltage and current available together must be checked with your chosen load connected.
Use the Aries coil winding examples and per-coil results at 800 RPM as a starting point for your own configuration. Makers can experiment with different windings and series or parallel coil arrangements to suit their voltage and current goals. Verify coil polarity and phase before connecting outputs. Additional generators can be linked as part of a custom system, with the wiring and mechanical drive matched to the intended combined output.
For DC applications, the generator output needs full-bridge rectification and suitable filtering before regulation. A 12 VDC output is a regulator setting, not a guaranteed generator output. A buck converter can maintain that setting only when its input remains above 12 V by the margin required by the selected converter under load. Select the regulator for the measured DC input range and use a charge controller matched to the battery for charging projects.
